How Homescreen Uses AI

Last updated: October 30, 2026

Homescreen uses artificial intelligence. This page explains where, what information it uses, and the limits we put on it.

Where AI is used

What AI receives

When a feature uses AI, the text, images or files that feature needs are sent to one of the AI providers below, which processes them and returns a result. We send only what the task needs, over encrypted connections. Each provider handles what it receives under its own terms and privacy policy.

Provider What they do for us Where
Cerebras Writes the chat's replies and checks each message you send United States
xAI Writes a reply when the first provider is slow, and is a backup when it is busy (Grok) United States
Anthropic A backup that writes the chat's replies when the providers above are busy (Claude) United States

The same list, with the other companies that work for us, is in Service Providers and Subprocessors.

Where you'll see AI

Anything an AI assistant says to you directly comes from Homescreen's AI unless it says it is a person. Content we publish may have been drafted with AI and is reviewed by our team.
